”Working through my traumatic birth with Sigrid has been so transformative to my healing journey. I have felt so validated in my trauma, she really held space for me to talk openly about what happened and feel heard. Hearing Sigrid say that things could have gone differently and that things didn’t necessarily happen the way that they had to happen was so validating and massive. That had been my comfort blanket and how I had validated that the birth happened ”the way it needed to”, as everyone had told me.
Knowing this is not the case though holds space for me to work through the fact that I didn’t get the care I personally needed, and gives me confidence that my next birth will be a totally different experience.
I’m SO grateful to have had this opportunity, thank you so much”

Unravelling your trauma
For whom may a session with me be beneficial?
- For you, who feel like something during your birth has stuck whithin you and has affected or affects you negatively – even if you may see the birth as a whole as positive.
- For you, who have a negative birth experience as a whole.
- For you, who have experienced birth trauma
- For you, who feel drawn to talk to me – even if you can’t quite put your finger on why.
Whatever your unhealed trauma ’looks like’ please know that your feelings are valid and you deserve this support to find some healing for yourself. Maybe your partner is struggling with the fall out from the traumatic birth, too. They are welcome to join us for this session if you and they are both comfortable with that decision.
It doesn’t matter how long it’s been since you gave birth – whether it’s been 2 weeks or 50 years! I am here for you.
The value of meeting someone who has a deep understanding of what you’ve been through and knows how much the experience of birth and early parenthood can affect well-being cannot be overstated. A prerequisite for healing if that experience was not positive and empowering, is to be listened to by a compassionate person who can give you plenty of time to share at your own pace, and who validates your thoughts and feelings about your birth and postpartum.
I really want to emphasize here, that a negative or traumatic experience of a birth and/or postpartum period is not in itself linked to how it looked ”from the outside”. You may have had a completely ”normal birth” where everything from the outside went as well as possible – and still come out the other side feeling broken inside.
When sharing about a traumatic birth, you are often met with ”it turned out all right in the end!”, ”you and the baby are fine now!” and similar phrases that, even when said in good faith, minimize the upsetting and/or traumatic experiences one had during and/or after birth. As a practitioner, I don’t only look at what you’ve gone through physically, but to a great extent the emotional, spiritual and mental levels of birth – along with the physical as a whole. My role in the conversation is to guide you, at your own pace, through your story and if needed contribute with perspective on what happened both inside you and how what happened ’outside you’ affected you, see everything in a different light. I also offer various tools you can use to begin or continue healing the wounds that have been created.
A 1:1 session with me is a 3-hour long Zoom call which involves:
- me introducing myself and my work to you and answering any questions before we begin
- you sharing your story with me
- unpacking your story together – helping you to gain clarity around why perhaps things went the way they did and why you have been left feeling the way you do
- offering you a different perspective on any sense of failure or self doubt you might be holding onto
- sharing tools and resources with you for your ongoing processing and healing journey after our session ends
- discussion of what a future birth could look like for you
I realise that 3 hours may feel like a long time to be doing this vulnerable work. Over the years I have found that to be able to openly share there needs to be a lot of time and space, and the last thing I would want is for you to feel cut off because,”sorry, but your hour is up” and leaving you feeling fractured or directionless.
I’ll always send you a follow up email within 48 hours of our session which covers the key takeaways and any of the tools and resources that were discussed.
Pricing:
SEK 2000/3 hours.
The session may take place in person or online, and if there’s a time difference we’ll figure that out!
Planning for your healing birth
After a traumatic birth experience, the thought of giving birth again can feel incredibly overwhelming, if not terrifying. This is completely understandable, especially given the birth culture we are currently exposed to which often leads us to believe that our birthing bodies are flawed and that a positive and empowering birth is for a select, lucky few. But revealing the true causes of their traumatic births and shining light on your own potential to have a wonderful and healing next birth can truly create a path to go on to do just that!
Planning Your Healing Birth is for anyone who is pregnant and has had a previous birth that left them feeling traumatised or regretful, or any other sense of grief and negativity surrounding their experience. It’s for those who want guidance around how to prepare as best they can for a positive and empowering next birth.
Please note that you are required to have had an Unravelling Your Trauma session with me prior to booking a Planning Your Healing Birth session. Unpacking your last birth and working through some information and tools to support your healing process is necessary before you are ready and equipped to plan for this next birth.
What does a Planning Your Healing Birth session entail?
This personalised 3 hour session with me will preferably take place when you have support with your little one(s). This enables you to make the most of this session and focus on meeting your specific needs. Partners are welcome, and very much encouraged, to participate in this session though it is certainly not a necessity to have them present. During our session we will discuss some or all of the following:
- How you have been since our Unravelling Your Trauma session and anything you’d like to share about tools you have tried
- Your fears and your hopes surrounding this next birth
- Where to birth and who to have present
- Birthing physiology and how to support it (including what your partner & birth team can do)
- Common interventions and reasons you may want to avoid them
- Coping with pain in labour
- Your rights and responsibilities
- Making birth plans
- Plans for baby’s sibling(s) during the birth
- Planning for a positive postpartum experience
- Tools and resources that may support your preparation
- I will send you a follow-up email within 48 hours of our session which will cover all the key takeaways and any tools or resource links that we discussed.

Combo Unravelling and Planning Birth
The Unravelling & Planning Combo is an economical option for those who are needing to both work through a traumatic or upsetting past birth experience, and have some guidance to set themselves up for a positive and empowering next birth.
The first session is an Unravelling Your Trauma session which involves you sharing your story with me and I help you to unpack your story, often offering a new lens through which to view the events of your birth and the fall-out you’ve experienced from it. I will also share tools for you to use that will help you to continue to process and heal after the session is over. Read above for more details about the Unravelling session.
The second session is a Planning Your Healing Birth session. This involves a discussion about ways to set yourself up to have the healing birth experience that you’re seeking. Read above for more details about what a Planning session entails.
After each session I will send you a follow up email within 48 hours which will cover the key takeaways, including tools and resource links.

Healing after Loss
Losing a child at birth or during pregnancy is an experience that turns life completely upside down. Often loved ones are there at the beginning, but while ’life goes on’ for everyone around you, the sadness and pain remain and often you feel very alone in it.
Deep grief can also be extremely frightening in a society where grief doesn’t really have a place, making it difficult for our loved ones to hold the grief without trying to comfort and ease the pain, which is not what we need when we are grieving .
Even a loss in the earlier part of a pregnancy, either in the form of a miscarriage or an unwanted or later regretted abortion, can be a deeply felt loss that is often diminished.
A Healing after loss session will be booked for 3 hours. This is so we can work together without time constraints, and I suggest you allow at least around 2 hours for the session. If you have another child(ren), preferably you can choose a time when you have support for your little one(s) so that you can really focus on your needs during the session. Partners are welcome to attend the session as well.
I’ll enable a safe space for you to share about your loss experience and to talk through ideas around how you can process your feelings and navigate your healing journey.
Pricing:
SEK 1800/2-3 hours.
